Salvador Rojo Gamón

He started early his studies of clarinet, musical language and choral ensemble, first in Algimia de Alfara and later in Vall d`Uxo and attended his Medium and High Degree courses in the Conservatorio Superior (School of Music) Joaquín Rodrigo of Valencia.

He kept on his musical formation by taking harmony and accompanied melody classes from Rafael Talens and attended to orchestra conduction courses with Roberto Forés, Enrique García Asensio, Gilberto Serembe, Manuel Galduf  and Miguel Rodrigo Tamarit.

He finished also his studies of counterpoint and fugue and conducted the next music bands: Agrupación Santa Cecilia from Grau de Valencia and Musical Union Society Santa Cecilia from Moncofar. With the last one he got the 2nd Award in the 2nd Section of the Music Band Competition of Castellón and the 1st Award with Honour Mention in the International Music Band Competition Ciutat de València.

He has composed works for band, chamber orchestra, piano and voice.His work for concert band, AL VOLTANT D´ALMANSA is an order to be work of interpretaion required in the third section, in the band contests of Castellon, Valencia, Alicante. He has won the Maestro Villa 2010 Award of composition for symphonic band, by his work EXODO.

He has been attending recently to high degree courses in orchestra conduction in the Conservatorio Superior (School of Music) of Badajoz with Jesús Amigo, conductor of the Orquesta de Extremadura Foundation. He is founding member of the chamber group Façade, of which he is director.

Occasionally has led many groups in Valencia and Extremadura, having boasted the ownership of some more.

He has been conducting "La Filarmónica" music band since 2003.
